This Refund Policy explains how AI Buildrs LLC ("AI Buildrs", "we", "us", or "our") handles refunds for paid services purchased through aibuildrs.com. It applies alongside our Terms of Service and any Statement of Work or signed engagement agreement.

1. Engagement-based work (custom AI infrastructure, voice AI, sales systems, bespoke builds)

Most AI Buildrs work is delivered as a custom engagement under a Statement of Work (SoW). For these:

  • Discovery / strategy day: Once delivered (whether on a call or in writing), the strategy day is non-refundable. The deliverable is the strategy itself, not the implementation that may follow.
  • Build engagements: Refunds for in-progress build work are governed by the SoW. Generally:
    • Work already performed is not refundable
    • Unstarted milestones may be refunded if the engagement is cancelled in writing before that milestone begins, less reasonable costs incurred (e.g. third-party software, contractor time)
    • If we materially fail to deliver an agreed milestone and cannot remedy it within a reasonable timeframe, you are entitled to a refund of the fees paid for that milestone

If your SoW contains a refund clause that conflicts with this section, the SoW prevails.

2. Subscription-style services (managed AEO, ongoing retainers, monthly memberships)

For monthly or recurring services:

  • Monthly retainers: Cancel anytime, effective at the end of the current billing month. We do not pro-rate the current month.
  • Annual or longer commitments: Refer to the specific agreement. Generally, mid-term cancellations forfeit the remaining commitment unless we have failed to deliver as agreed.
  • First-month satisfaction: Where explicitly offered, a satisfaction guarantee applies only to the first invoice and only if cancellation is requested in writing within 7 days of the first delivery.

3. Productized services and one-off purchases

For fixed-price productized services (audits, reports, set-fee deliverables):

  • Before delivery begins: Full refund if requested in writing within 24 hours of purchase
  • In progress: Pro-rata refund of work not yet performed, less third-party costs incurred
  • After delivery: Non-refundable once the deliverable has been provided

4. Free consultations and discovery calls

Discovery calls are free and carry no fee or refund. We are not obligated to deliver any subsequent service unless a written agreement is signed.

5. How to request a refund

Email team@aibuildrs.com with:

  • Your name and the email used at purchase
  • The service or invoice in question
  • A short description of the reason

We will acknowledge within 3 business days and respond with a decision (and, where applicable, a refund timeline) within 10 business days.

6. Refund method and timing

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing time depends on your bank or card issuer — typically:

  • Card: 5–10 business days
  • Bank transfer: 3–7 business days
  • Other: as agreed in writing

We do not issue refunds in cash, store credit, or alternative currencies unless explicitly agreed.

7. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first — we will resolve legitimate issues quickly. Initiating a chargeback before contacting us may delay resolution and, if found in our favour, may result in suspension of any active engagements.

8. Region-specific consumer rights

Nothing in this policy limits your non-waivable consumer rights under applicable law:

  • United Kingdom: Consumer Rights Act 2015 (where the engagement qualifies as a B2C transaction)
  • European Economic Area: Local consumer protection law
  • United States (California): Applicable refund disclosures under California consumer law
  • UAE / Africa: Local consumer-protection statutes where they apply

If a non-waivable right entitles you to a remedy that this policy does not provide, that right takes precedence.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes apply to purchases made after the "Last updated" date. Existing engagements continue under the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
